(This event is part of The Fall of Happy Town - a group that hosts regular and affordable ways to hang out. To check out more, visit our Happy Town Luma calendar.) "Fall has always felt like a time of change for me, and for almost as long as I've lived in Toronto, the way that I've reflected on that change has been through quiet walks through the ravines and parks. One spot in particular has always been special to me and that is the old now-defunct ski hill in Centennial Park. So join me, as I walk up along Etobicoke Creek and through Centennial park to hopefully catch the sunset while overlooking the hill." Where to meet: The meeting point will be in the food court beside Islington Subway station. Once getting off the trains at Islington, take the stairs up to the east end exit and go through the doors into Bloor Islington place, keep heading through the center until you reach the food court where we can meet up before departing. Or, if you live further west, you can join us at Burnhamthorpe and Mill Road, which is the western terminus of TTC route 50. Where are we going? We will be walking up Etobicoke Creek until we reach Eglinton Avenue, we'll then go along Eglinton, with a brief stop for some snacks and rest, before continuing to trek through Centennial Park to our goal, the hill with a nice view. What should I bring? Water Bottle Comfortable Footwear Warm Clothes
