Organizer’s description
Cemeteries are one of my favourite places. They’re peaceful, green, and they make me happy. So, I created a walk that links 4 of my favourite city cemeteries together. Join me on a roughly 25 km walk starting at Park Lawn Cemetery, going through Prospect, Mount Pleasant, and ending at St. James. On this journey we will go through the cemeteries themselves, as well as along part of the Humber river trail, and through some of the evergreen brickworks ravine system. We will take rest stops along the route. More details on those to come. We will meet at 10 am at the Park Lawn Cemetery main gates (2845 Bloor Street West), and depart at 10:30 am. Bring: snacks, water, good walking shoes, blister prevention, power banks, headphones, etc., and a word or two for our silent hosts.🪦There isn’t really much more to say about this walk, so I’ll meet you at the cemetery gates. (Lmk if you’re a Smiths fan). Event photo is The Marysville Cemetery by William Kurelek.
