Learn Argentine Tango this fall – Sundays 2:30 pm in Malden \| 8-week Beginner course starts November 1 \| Each class is 90 min Learning Argentine Tango happens in a few phases, and the Beginner course is the one everything else is built on. It's also the starting point for all of our higher levels. In 8 weeks you will learn the Argentine Tango essentials: the tango walk (caminata), weight changes, the baldosa, rebounds, and the 8-count basic to the cross. You'll also learn the difference between the parallel and cross systems. We'll explain the essence of the tango embrace: how to connect and communicate with your partner without words, read body language, show your intention, and take care of the couple's wellbeing. Partners rotate during class, so you'll learn to dance with many different people. You will also become familiar with the principles of improvisation, navigation and musicality. * Master the Tango: Build a solid foundation in 8 engaging weeks. * Unwind & Explore: Discover different genres of tango music. * Embrace the Community: Learn milonga etiquette (cabeceo, tanda, cortina) and experience the joy of connection on the dance floor.
