October Book Club Meet Up - Theme: Spooky Season

## 📚 October Meetup — Spooky Season ey Book Friends! For October, we’re leaning into spooky season without going *too* scary. Think witches, magic, a mysterious old house, found family, and plenty of cozy autumn vibes. 📖 **This Month’s Theme: Spooky Season** 📘 **Book Pick: The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches** by Sangu Mandanna Mika Moon is one of the few witches in Britain, and she’s spent most of her life following one important rule: witches need to stay apart and keep their magic secret. But when she receives an unexpected invitation to a remote house called Nowhere House, she breaks the rules to help three young witches learn how to control their powers. What she finds is a strange, lovable household full of secrets, an extremely protective (and irritatingly attractive) librarian, and something Mika has never really had before: the possibility of belonging. It’s a warm, magical story about found family, loneliness, love, and what happens when you finally find a place that feels like home. Expect cozy witchy vibes, a little romance, some mystery and danger, and just enough magic for spooky season without the nightmares. 🧙‍♀️✨ 📅 Date & Time Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 1 PM 📍 Location Bronx Alehouse 216 W 238th St, Bronx, NY
