Something wicked this way reads. 👻📖 The Haunted Library is calling all book lovers for a spooky twist on our signature reading party. Bring your own book and settle in for our signature reading party format: two cozy reading sessions, time to mingle with fellow readers, and plenty of opportunities to talk books between chapters. Spooky stories, gothic tales & autumnal reads are encouraged, but not required! 🍂 On the evening’s syllabus: 📖 Bring your current read & read alongside fellow readers 🕯️ Not-so-scary zero-proof drinks 👻 A costume contest with a prize for the best dressed: bonus points if you dress up as your favorite literary character! 📚 Surprise spooky vendors THE PARTICULARS FROM BEYOND 🗓️ Thursday, October 22 ⏰ Doors at 6:30pm 📍 The Polished Pigeon, San Diego Costumes are encouraged, creativity is rewarded, and your TBR is officially summoned. 🔮 Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you want and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as 1-on-1 breakouts, and group discussions to pull on the threads of the books that everyone is engaging with. In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.
