Reading Rhythms hosts a bring-your-own-book reading party with silent reading, paired breakouts and group discussions focused on books and the freedom to read, encouraging frequently banned titles.

Bring any book for silent reading, one-on-one breakouts and group conversations about books and the freedom to read; ticket purchase includes consent to promotional photo and video use.

You’re invited!📚🍂 Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. We invite you to bring any book you'd like and facilitate silent reading periods, as well as one-on-one breakouts and group discussions to explore the themes and connections within the books you're reading. To celebrate Banned Books Week (October 4–10, 2026), we encourage you to bring a book from the American Library Association's 2025 Most Challenged Books List, or another frequently banned book. No matter what book you choose to bring, we'll be having conversations throughout the night about the what the freedom to read means to each of us. In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with their love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather among people who want to be in that very same room. Kollectiv is an urban retreat center in Manhattan's East Village designed to restore your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Our favorite conversations happen in the Reading Rhythms mobile app. Join us there → https://readingrhythms.app Disclaimer: By purchasing a ticket, you agree to have your photo/video used for social media/marketing materials, both as property of Reading Rhythms and other publications that may be present at our reading parties.
