Take a slow-paced Halloween hike with Girls Gone Hiking to Spook Rock and Hulda’s Hut, with all levels welcome and no need to know anyone beforehand.
Join Girls Gone Hiking for a spooky-season hike through the Sleepy Hollow countryside on Halloween morning! 🎃👻 We’ll wander the trails of Rockefeller State Park Preserve, a few miles from the village that inspired The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, through fall woods, open meadows, and along the Pocantico River. Along the way, we’ll visit Spook Rock—where legend tells of celestial maidens dancing beneath the stars—before continuing to Hulda’s Hut, the former home of Sleepy Hollow’s mysterious healer and “witch.” Come wearing something festive! A costume, witch hat, cat ears, cape, face paint—whatever makes you smile. Just make sure it's something you can walk comfortably in for 4 miles (no heels, long trailing hems, etc). We’ll take a group photo on the trail. Slow-paced, friendly, and all levels welcome. You don’t need to know anyone to come.
