Where some of the places and maps data in CliffsList comes from, and the notices we have to carry with it.

Places

Venue names, addresses, categories and coordinates for some place-search results use the Overture Maps Foundation Places dataset (including notices from contributing sources such as Meta, Microsoft, and Foursquare). Foursquare Open Source Places is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Overture Places is published under the Community Data License Agreement – Permissive, Version 2.0 (CDLA-Permissive-2.0).

  • Overture Maps Foundation — overturemaps.org
  • CDLA-Permissive-2.0 — cdla.dev/permissive-2-0
  • Foursquare Open Source Places — opensource.foursquare.com

Some neighbourhood and borough boundaries also use Overture's Divisions theme under the same licence.

The map may also show separately labelled Google Places suggestions. Typing in map search can send search text and map context to Google. Opening Google Maps or directions uses Google's services.

Events

We don't create the events. Listings come from third parties and link back to their original sources when we have them. Confirm anything that matters on the original listing before you go.

To ask about a listing on CliffsList, email support@cliffslist.fun. We may update or remove listings when we choose to. We don't owe a reply, a fix, or any particular timeline.

Corrections

If a place is wrong, closed, or should not be listed, you can tell us. We may update our copy; we don't have to. Corrections to the underlying open dataset are best sent upstream to Overture.
