Description: Come join us for a relaxed Saturday afternoon of Hong Kong Style Mahjong, drinks, and conversation. What is Mahjong? It’s a four-player tile game where you draw and discard tiles to build a winning hand. It combines strategy, observation, and the ability to look completely calm when someone takes the tile you desperately needed. Think of it as a friendly puzzle where the other three people keep interfering with your plans. This Mahjong gathering is a sub-event of Dustin’s broader Saturday board game event at Santa Monica Brew Works. We are hosting our Mahjong tables under Dustin’s event. Please follow his event guidelines along with the Mahjong guidelines below. Mahjong participation is by advance sign-up only. We will have three tables with room for up to 12 players. Please sign up specifically for the Mahjong sub-event. Registration for Dustin’s main board game event does not reserve a Mahjong seat.
