Organizer’s description
With astounding period detail (including extensive location shooting in Beijing’s Forbidden City), this Oscar-winning epic from Bernardo Bertolucci (The Conformist) uses a non-linear structure to chronicle the life of China’s last ruling emperor, from his accession at the age of three through decades of war, occupation, and revolution.
