The Klittens

Please Please You & Brudenell Presents... This five piece combines their love for pop music and dark sentiments with a punk ethos. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists - such as The Ronettes, MF Doom, Dry Cleaning and Kate Bush - they've crafted a sound that's truly and twistedly their own. What initially began as an outlet, both creatively and politically, mutated into a musical life mission for its members. Their DIY approach, from songwriting to releasing music and tour management, is what makes The Klittens the ragtag bunch of misfits they are. The band consists of Yaël Dekker (vocals), Winnie Conradi (guitar), Katja Kahana (guitar), Marrit Meinema (bass guitar), and Laurie Zantinge (drums). New album Have A Heart: This September The Klittens will release their long awaited debut album “Have A Heart". Crafted from blood, sweat and cardboard, this title will be self-released in true Klittens fashion. As the listeners have sampled on their previous EPs, the band succeeds again in bringing a blend of their individual (and often divergent) styles to provide an allround experience of their experiences. With their instrumentation as the only limit to their imaginations the band has made an album that takes influence from country to pop to (post-)punk, always with a Klittens twist. Using four instruments and five vocals as the core, each of the ten tracks is a separate instrumental and lyrical story in its own right.
