Organizer’s description
The Dybbuk, or Between Two Worlds Written by S. Ansky, Adaptation by Anton Piatigorsky Directed by Richard Rose A cornerstone of Yiddish theatre, The Dybbuk is reimagined in a powerful new Canadian adaptation. When a broken promise and untimely death bind two young lovers across the boundary between life and the supernatural, their families are pulled into a world where mysticism, fate, and faith collide. Haunting and poetic, this timeless story explores love that defies death and the spiritual forces that linger when obligations remain unfulfilled. The Dybbuk asks what happens when the past demands resolution - and the living must listen. "The Dybbuk is the most exciting, thought-provoking and morally challenging show you're likely to see in Toronto this year." -Toronto Star * 4 out of 4 stars "Adapted by Anton Piatigorsky The Dybbuk is thrilling and powerful, with some breath-taking theatrical moments."
