Organizer’s description
Elvis Presley and Sam Cooke dominated and helped define the worlds of rock and roll and soul music at their inception and ever since. With hits like Hound Dog, A Change Is Gonna Come, Jailhouse Rock, You Send Me, Can't Help Falling in Love, Bring It On Home to Me, and so many more, these two men rank among the most influential hitmakers in American music history. Beyond their impact as individual artists, they deeply admired one another and made that respect known. In this concert, we'll share that remarkable story alongside brand-new orchestrations of their iconic music, brought to life by a lineup of Broadway and pop music's brightest lights. The Skywalk elevator in the A&E Parking Garage is currently under renovation. For accessible entry to the Broward Center, cross NW 2nd Street and follow the accessible signs to the lower entry doors. From garage levels 2 and 3, take the elevator to the ground floor and proceed to the lower entry doors. Passenger drop off at the top of the valet ramp is also available, with early arrival encouraged for use.
