🚀 Strange Futures Sci-Fi Book Club October 21 | 7:00–8:00 PMLong Dark House | 1510 King Street, Alexandria Welcome to Strange Futures, Long Dark House’s book club for readers who like to look beyond the known. Each month, we’ll explore science fiction across the genre..from cyberpunk and dystopian futures to first contact, space exploration, artificial intelligence, strange technology, and everything in between. November Pick: Elder Race by Adrian Tchaikovsky For our October meeting, we’re reading James Islington’s brand-new cyberpunk thriller, Scion. In a future where the ultrawealthy can effectively live forever, Azure makes his living killing “Lifers”—legally. Cybernetically enhanced, deeply in debt, and very good at his job, he’s accustomed to being the one doing the hunting. Then he's given an unusual assignment: protect someone instead. Expect cyberpunk, assassins, dystopian technology, dark humor, morally questionable decisions, and lots to talk about. Perfect for longtime sci-fi readers and anyone looking for a way into the genre. 📚 Read some/all of book before the meeting and come ready to chat.🚀 New members are always welcome. Strange books. Strange worlds. Strange futures.
