AI summary · From the event listing

Join our site stewards Isaac and Oléander in restoring and maintaining native habitat for the threatened Coastal Green Hairstreak butterfly! This workday happens every 2nd Saturday of the month and is led by Nature in the City site stewards Isaac and Oléander. The Green Hairstreak Butterfly Corridor relies on neighborhood site stewards to co-steward the land alongside Nature in the City and our wonderful volunteer network. After having worked with us as San Francisco State students, Isaac and Oléander have deepened their stewardship with Nature in the City as site stewards of 12th ave and Pacheco st. Folks who join these workdays help create and expand the ecosystem for this little green gem of a pollinator. We emphasize biodiverse and ecologically relevant plants, and you will learn about many of our important San Francisco native plant species. Be ready for activities like weeding, planting, seed collecting, pruning, and other land maintenance tasks. Please sign our volunteer waiver before you arrive! Visit the Corridor on iNaturalist to see what's living there: iNaturalist Monitoring Project See our website to view a map of the sites: https://natureinthecity.org/green-hairstreak What to bring: long pants and layers (clothes that might get dirty!) closed-toe shoes water bottle sun protection We often work in light rain, but heavy rain cancels.
