Organizer’s description
Feeling stuck in your writing or writing routine? Want a change of scene, a time carved out to focus on your writing project, or a chance to meet other local writers? I myself have found that SUAW, as some of us call it, has addressed all of the above. First, at 10 after the hour, we go around the table(s) saying, "This is what I'm planning to work on today." The organizer then starts a timer for 90 minutes, during which we write quietly but together. At the end of that time, we go around again and say how it went. Sticking around afterwards and chatting, ordering more, etc. is completely optional. :) There's no need or pressure to show anyone what you've written or to describe your experience in any particular way. This is meant to be a comfortable and supportive space for people to get their writing done regardless of genre or experience level. Also, I know that people have work and other obligations, health issues, transportational difficulties, too many things happening at once, and so on. If you can't make it by 6:10, need to leave early, or can't hang around later, no worries; life happens. :) For our full event schedule, visit https://shutupwrite.com/ Other Important Details: WiFi name/password: [TBA] Travel / Parking info: [TBA] Venue Guidelines: Please thank our hosts by purchasing something
