Settlement Home Garage Sale

Since 1916, The Settlement Home for Children has served children and families in need. The Home’s vision is to end the cycle of child abuse by providing therapeutic programs and services for children of all ages, who have experienced severe emotional trauma, abuse and neglect. This year marks The 51st Garage & Estate Sale, the primary fundraiser in support of The Settlement Home for Children. The sale include fine crystal, china, linens, sports equipment, kitchenware, gadgets of every kind, vintage items, garden supplies, furniture, fine art, holiday items, clothing and so much more. The Settlement Home Garage & Estate Sale kicks off with a Preview Party on Wednesday, November 4, and sales continue November 6- 8. Last year, this significant event netted $1.5 million for The Settlement Home. They are asking for volunteers to set up the event the weekend before the sale, as well as help with the sale itself. I am signed up for the 12:30 - 4pm slot on Oct 31 in the holiday department. If you cannot volunteer, consider supporting this organization by attending the sale. This is the largest garage sale I've ever seen and it is a lot of fun.
