Organizer’s description

Second Life Market is a community market built around a simple idea: 'there is already so much good stuff in the world, let’s give them another life.' Join us on Sunday, November 8 at Pluto for a day of shopping, swapping, learning and gathering, all centred around circular consumption and the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. Explore a curated selection of vendors selling secondhand, vintage, reclaimed, repurposed and upcycled pieces, alongside a small selection of food and drink vendors. Bring along clothes you’re ready to part with and take part in our cosmic clothing swap, or spend some time in our learning space with conversations, meditation and a panel exploring climate, consumption, our relationship with the earth, and what more conscious living can look like in everyday life. Second Life Market is about consuming less without giving up the joy of finding something fabulous! Let's look at what already exists with fresh eyes, learn from one another, and find small, realistic ways to reduce our impact on our beautiful planet. Here's what to expect:11am to 6pm: The MarketSpend the day browsing one-of-a-kind secondhand, vintage, reclaimed and upcycled finds, with food and drink along the way. 2pm to 4pm: The Learning ZoneSettle in for a mix of conversation, reflection and collective learning around climate, land, consumption and how we could live more thoughtfully.
