Rose Creek Guided Bird Stroll

Join us for a collaboration between theSan Diego Bird Allianceand the Friends of Rose Creek as we explore the birds of the Rose Creek Salt Marsh and upstream habitat. Kyle will be our guide. No birding experience required. We will have binoculars available for use during the walk thanks to the San Diego Bird Alliance. High tide will be at 10:41 AM and the low at 7:01 PM so we will be trending towards low tide during our walk. Sunset will be at 4:48 PM. We usually have the best bird sightings closer to sunset. As of October 23, some of the snow birds are back in town. We have seen Northern pintails and American wigeons plus a huge increase in the number of American Coots. The number of species and individuals is on the upswing so November’s walk should be outstanding. This bird stroll is on mostly level ground, often paved and suitable for all ages. Unfortunately, the entire walk is not wheelchair accessible. If you or someone who wants to attend uses a wheelchair, please message us for how you can join for the wheelchair friendly stretch of the walk. * Rain cancels.
