Organizer’s description
Doors: 6:30 pm Event starts: 7:00 pm Join us to learn from Dr. Rachel Ozanne, associate professor of instruction at the University of Texas at Austin! Dr. Ozanne specializes in 19th-century religion in the US, theory of religion and religious experience, and Texas history - among many other things! Among her many accomplishments, her essay "Becoming Lost" was published in an anthology called *Empty the Pews [contains stories of those who've left the church]* with Epiphany Press in December 2019. She is also researching a book manuscript that explores the concept of secular sainthood in US history. Starting at 7 pm, Dr. Ozanne will give a lecture on religious deconstruction, followed by a Q&A! This is a hybrid event. We highly encourage in-person attendance, but if you can't make it in person, the talks will also be streamed on this channel: https://youtube.com/live/Fg-WiG9C5Sc Please park on Arroyo Seco or Joe Sayers.
