Organizer’s description

Let's go for a walk around the Tidal Basin to discuss an interview about Kevin Roose's new book "The AGI Chronicles" In the interview, Roose joined Washington AI Network founder Tammy Haddad for a live taping with DC policymakers and media. He reports on the latest efforts to understand how AI works and warns that AI capabilities are outpacing both our understanding of the systems and the government's ability to respond. He warns that AI labs now expect self-improving AI could begin as soon as this year.
