Its great to welcome in 2027 with one of our favourites ” Our Man In The Field” – Alex Ellis & his band Our Man in the Field is the songwriting project of British artist Alex Ellis, blending soulful indie-folk with Americana roots, rich arrangements, and emotionally direct storytelling. The music sits somewhere between classic songwriter traditions and modern cinematic folk — intimate, melodic, and quietly powerful. The project has developed into a compelling live and recording act, earning praise for its lyrical depth, warm production, and understated emotional weight. The new album, Silverado, was recorded at British Grove Studios, London, and produced by Guy Fletcher (Dire Straits), with Ethan Johns, Sonny Landreth, PP Arnold and Robbie Mcintosh contributing to the record.
