Title : Normative Dimensions of Data, Algorihtms and AI in Primary Care Abstract: This presentation examines controversies surrounding the gradual introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into primary care. It proposes shifting the focus of AI ethics from what AI is to what AI does in primary and community healthcare. A traditional approach centered on what AI is identifies significant issues of algorithmic bias, privacy, and clinical accuracy. By contrast, attending to what AI does means understanding it not as a stable technology but as something that unfolds within a particular temporal and sociotechnical context. The analysis draws on an ongoing empirical philosophy research project in the Catalan primary care system (Spain), conducted from the perspective of Science and Technology Studies (STS).
