Mississippi Symphony Orchestra: Picturesque Grandeur

Think of the opening, natural-world charm of Delius? On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring as a tasty appetizer for the following full-immersion feast of Bruckner?s Symphony No. 4. Subtitled ?Romantic,? this great and massive work evokes a storied thread of medieval scenes ? breaking dawn, knights on horseback and forest hunts ? yet echoes landscapes so lush, vast, emotionally rich and resonant this joie de vivre journey becomes transcendent.
