Organizer’s description

Welcome to the Mind and Soul monthly meetup. This is a chance to meet, talk and connect with people who share an interest in spiritual wisdom, psychology, philosophy and self-improvement. You might have studied these subjects for years, or you might just be curious and starting to explore. Maybe you enjoy the big questions about mind, spirit and reality, or want to understand yourself and others more deeply. Either way, this meetup is for you. Each month we read and discuss quotes from different authors. They give us a starting point for conversation, and often the discussion takes us somewhere none of us expected. This month we will discuss the following quote by Carl Jung. “This meeting with oneself is, at first, the meeting with one’s own shadow. The shadow is a tight passage, a narrow door, whose painful constriction no one is spared who goes down to the deep well.” — Carl Jung, *The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious.* What is the “shadow”? How does it affect our lives? How can we benefit from it? You’re welcome to share ideas, swap experiences, join the discussion or simply listen. We keep an open mind and a respectful space where every view is welcome. These meetups are for discussion, exploration and connecting with like-minded people. Practical details * Where: 5th floor of the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre. Ask for or look out for the Seventy5th bar on level 5.
