We're excited to announce Michael Ferguson's newest body of work just in time for the holidays! Michael ferguson - 1998-2026: Convention to invention The journey of painting is one of self discovery. My painting years were filled with landscapes created from reference material which, after time, gave me the skills to ‘ build a picture’ . Those skills are in my tool box now. Gradually, a more personal sensibility emerged mostly as a product of never growing up and allowing that original playfulness to exist in my work. I began to leave the literal expressions mostly behind, using important cues only enough to keep a tenuous grip on reality: meaning, I still want to communicate a scene that people can understand, even if it is fantastical in nature. Now I find myself down the rabbit hole of fantasy flowers in impossible gardens, floating musical ideas and shimmering seas of metallic indulgence. Join us at the Artist Reception for Michael Ferguson's new exhibition! Light refreshments will be available as well as the artist in attendance.
