Organizer’s description

21+ / www.carolspub.comWith a style rooted in the charm of his Central-Florida home, Sony Music Nashville's McCoy Moore makes country music so radiant and relaxed it should come with SPF 50. Through beaming baritone vocals and a warm sonic glow, the singer-songwriter embodies the land of perpetual summer, complete with its easy-does-it code of humble sincerity. On his debut album, Sunshine State, the Lakeland native shows Florida is much more than a vacation destination -- it's the place that made him the artist he is. A lifelong country fan schooled on late '90s and early 2000s radio, Kenny Chesney (his first concert), Tim McGraw, and Keith Whitley were the soundtrack to travel baseball and day trips to the beach, before a chance encounter with Luke Combs in 2017 helped propel Moore to Nashville at 19 years old where he quickly found his creative footing. Now on Sunshine State, and the expanded deluxe version that includes his debut radio single "Forget We Ever Met," modern muscle and a throwback country spirit tap the nostalgic heat of long-gone summers, while Moore's vocal carries the buzz of an incoming thunderhead. Heavy bass lines and steel guitars hang thick like Spanish Moss off an old Live Oak (much like the one on the album's cover, which was shot in his grandparents' garage).
