Mathis Picard

Jimmy's features a full-service restaurant, and food is available for purchase at every performance. Doors open at 5:30 PM, when you can order dinner directly from your ticketed seat, no separate dinner reservations needed! Kitchen service runs from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. An ASCAP Next Generation of Songwriters recipient and Juilliard alumnus, international pianist, composer, and producer Mathis Picard is recognized as one of the most prominent rising voices on keys today. Mentored by Kenny Barron and named Musical Director for the Broadway revival of Ain't Misbehavin', Picard has shared stages with icons like Ron Carter, Wynton Marsalis, and Christian McBride. Drawing from his French, Malagasy, and American roots, Picard delivers an extraordinary, virtuosic performance of genre-defying original compositions, brilliant classical technique, and modern jazz mastery. The Box Office at Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club is open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering both in-person and phone ticket sales. You can purchase tickets by calling 888-603-5299 (ext. 1) or by visiting us at 135 Congress Street in Portsmouth, NH.
