Mahjong in the Mission

Join Mo Pai Mahjong Club for mahjong night! We'll be transforming Society of Thumbs—part art studio, part neighborhood hub—into an open play area. Having grown up in the Mission and Excelsior, I thought it would be fun to pop up in a new neighborhood. Come go offline with me and shuffle some tiles in this creative new third space. Details: 🀄️ Admission includes a dedicated playing seat for 3 hours plus light snacks. You are also welcome to bring outside food. 🀄️ Please indicate your playing level in the questionnaire to help with assigned seating. We will have competitive tables playing for points, but are also opening it up to beginners. (Visual handouts will be provided.) 🀄️ If you would like to be seated together, please indicate that in a comment once you RSVP. We are unable to issue refunds. 🀄️ Tickets are not sold at the door. Clicking "Going" in the RSVP does not guarantee admission. You must purchase a ticket via Venmo. 🀄️ After making your Venmo payment, make sure you hit “Going" in Partiful so your ticket is accounted for and we don’t oversell. 🀄️ Halloween costumes encouraged, but not mandatory 🎃👻🕸️.
