Who Gets to Tell Our Stories? An Evening of Literature, Storytelling & Belonging *Español abajo Who gets to tell our stories? Who gets to write about our lives, our labor, our journeys across borders, our losses, our love, and everything we carry? We do . Join us in Seattle as we celebrate the newest anthology from Las Malcriadas Fronterizas, a writers' collective of immigrant women, domestic workers, and organizers from California, Washington, and the Texas borderlands. We write from our own lives, with vulnerability, tenderness, humor, and courage. Our stories move across borders, generations, family, care work, and belonging. We share not only what we have lived through, but what we love, protect, resist, and imagine for the future. At the heart of our writing is a powerful insistence: we get to tell our own stories, in our own words. Join us, alongside our co-sponsors Casa Latina, Seattle Escribe and Hand in Hand, for an intimate evening of storytelling, dialogue, and community. Together, we'll celebrate literature as a living practice of healing, belonging, creativity, and collective resistance. Who We Are Malcriadas —unruly, outspoken, refusing to behave as we're expected to. We embrace the name because we refuse to be silenced. Our stories hold our struggles, contradictions, resilience, joy, and triumphs. We are Las Malcriadas Fronterizas, a circle of immigrant women and domestic workers cultivating our voices and growing together as writers.
