JAM Weekend: Music Medicine ATX Collaborative Open Jam

JAM Weekend has been a dream of ours since the first conversations we ever had about building Joining All Musicians (JAM). This is Day 4 of a 4-day celebration of Austin music community. This event is free and open to everyone! What’s Happening Join us for a music community networking event followed by a live sound check workshop and open jam in collaboration with Music Medicine ATX. * Arrivals and check in - 1:00pm * Intro circle - 1:15pm * Networking breakout groups - 1:30pm * Sound check workshop - 2:30pm * Open jam w/ Music Medicine ATX - 3:00pm * Closing circle - 6:30pm Sound & Instruments There will be a backline and PA available at this open jam. Exact details will be updated here soon. Other Details This jam will be in collaboration with Music Medicine ATX and will be a different format than the standard open mics and jams we host bi-annually. Players will not be placed in pre-determined groups, instead people are encouraged to jump on stage, swap out, and play as they feel like it. We will communicate the details of how the jam will run the day of the event. Our goal is to make sure that everyone who wants to play, gets to play. We will have some light snacks and drinks, but this event is BYOB and potluck style if you’d like to partake. Please nothing sticky or messy since we will be playing instruments. If you have an extra folding chair, bring it! We appreciate your respect of the space, as well as a supportive and open attitude towards our community.
