Gata Galactica w/ DJ Papi Biamp Portland Jazz Festival Presented by PDX Jazz: Gata Galáctica w/ DJ Papi Doors: 8:00pm Show: 9:00pm Ages 21+ https://www.instagram.com/gatagalacticaband/ GATA GALÁCTICA are a Portland-based band that blend elements of cumbia, afrobeat, surf music, and psychedelia from past to present. Their music creates kaleidoscopic grooves that will make your body move and soul soar. The project lives at the intersection of tradition and experimentation - channeling classic Afro Latin rhythms through a contemporary, borderless lens shaped by the Latin indie underground. Travel through space and time with their infectious sound. Gata Galáctica have shared the stage with such notable artists as Antibalas, Girl Ultra, Tropa Mágica, Gio Chamba, Los Dug Dugs and continue to take their special blend of Latin psychedelia beyond the Pacific Northwest. Notes on Seating: Open seating show, may be limited or standing room only. First come, first seated. Open dance floor may obscure sightlines. This event is 21 and over.
