Organizer’s description
JS Promotions Presents... FROM THE JAM was formed in 2004 when Russell Hastings joined forces with two members of the original Jam line-up, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. What began as a celebration of one of Britain’s most influential bands quickly grew into an international touring success, attracting both lifelong Jam fans and new generations discovering the music for the first time. Rather than attempting to imitate The Jam, the band’s reputation has been built on authenticity, passion, and a remarkable ability to recreate the energy and spirit of the original recordings and live performances. “I just go up and sing the songs how I remember them being sung. I’m many thousands of shows in now and had the good fortune of performing alongside Bruce and Rick for many years. We became great friends, and I suppose some of those musical idiosyncrasies rubbed off. Whatever the reason, it works, and people love singing these songs that mean so much to them.” – Russell Hastings In 2010, Rick Buckler left to pursue other projects, with Bruce Foxton and Russell Hastings continuing alongside renowned drummer Mark Brzezicki of Big Country. Around this time, the first Foxton & Hastings album, Back In The Room, was recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios and featured Weller on several tracks, including the acclaimed single Number Six. The band’s success continued to grow internationally, with extensive tours across the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, and the United States.
