Organizer’s description
Dear Frenchies, dear Frenchaises, Join us every Monday for our traditional French happy hour Apéro, a fantastic opportunity to practice (and improve!) your French speaking skills, meet new people, and unwind after work with a drink. Event Details: Location: The legendary French-owned Flûte Midtown. The term “apéro” refers both to the ritual of going out for a pre-dinner drink and the kind of drink you’d enjoy during that ritual. Naturally, this tradition was invented by the French. We ask that all joining purchase at least one drink, alcoholic or non, in support of the bar and their letting us use their bar area each and every Monday throughout the year. A special drink offer for the group is a Kir Royal for $10. Special food available is French Spring Rolls also starting at $10. Why You Should Join Us: Our goal is to connect with new members and catch up with our regular meetup family all while speaking en français. All levels are welcome and the only way to grow in skill is by practicing with others. Enjoy the chic and cozy atmosphere of Flûte Midtown, where French art de vivre meets New York City’s vibrant happy hour culture. About the Venue: Flûte Bar & Lounge opened in midtown Manhattan in 1997, taking over the space that once housed the notorious speakeasy, Club Intime. At Flûte Midtown, they bring champagne out of the nightclub VIP room and into the stylish, intimate setting of a New York lounge.
