Organizer’s description

What is a food forest? And what would it mean to establish one in Allston-Brighton? Join the Allston-Brighton Health Collaborative (ABHC) and the Boston Food Forest Coalition to explore these questions and more! Over the past year, ABHC’s Food Access Committee has been working hard to understand what it would take to establish a food forest in the neighborhood, and now we’re ready to share that work with you! At this workshop, we’ll teach you what a food forest is (short version: it’s an edible public garden), how food forests positively impact communities that host them, and what we’ve learned about the possibilities in Allston-Brighton. We'll be raffling off 9 air purifiers to attendees, and we may also sneak in a little guided meditation! Dinner will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. The Allston Brighton Health Collaborative (ABHC) is a network of organizations and individuals working to improve the health and well-being of Allston-Brighton.
