Part of Finn Carter’s monthly residency at the Vortex, showcasing a new project each month. Stephanie Burrell Stephanie Burrell is an artist working across dance, film, performance, choreography and theatre. She is the co-founder of Birthday Fish Theatre, a surrealist theatre company, and leads the collaborative conceptual performance project Housewife Going Digital. Her practice is research-driven and subversive. While her foundation lies in contemporary dance and ballet, Stephanie’s work now spans physical theatre, commercial choreography, and experimental performance. Her choreographic practice began in 2020 as she investigated ways to fuse improvisation with theatrical modes of performance inspired by and in response to jazz music.
