All my welding classes are made to accomodate beginners.* *Having said that, stainless steel welding is more difficult than carbon steel so expect a challenging class if coming in cold.* In this class, you’ll be introduced to the art of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, or GTAW, with an emphasis on stainless steel. You'll be walked through the machine, its settings and capabilities, as well as proper safety. Students will practice using both hands in sync to get the perfect rythm for achieving clean, solid welds. Each student will recieve 1/8" stainless coupons they will tack into a formation with 4 of the major welding joints, the Fillet, Lap, Butt, and Corner Joints, to expose you to the most common joints in metal fabrication.
