QUEENS! RPG One-Shots—Beginners Welcome! RSVPs open 10/11
October 24, 2026 · 12 PM
QED Astoria, 27-16 23rd Ave, Queens
A Queens tabletop roleplaying meetup offering several single-session RPGs, often indie or small-publisher games, for beginners and experienced players without preparation or ongoing commitment; attendees are invited to bring friends, coworkers and partners.
Play a beginner-welcoming tabletop RPG that finishes in one session with no preparation required; check-in is at noon and game selection begins at 12:15pm, with late-arrival spaces not guaranteed.
We welcome everyone interested in role playing games, whether you’ve never picked up a set of dice before or you’ve been running games for 20 years. We work hard to intentionally create a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment to explore new games and old favorites. Bring your co-workers, friends, and partners, too! We understand that it’s hard to commit to an ongoing RPG. That’s why each of our games concludes in a single session and requires no player prep or ongoing commitment. If you are looking for longer-term games, this is a great group to connect with other players and GMs who are looking for the same. Each session, we bring several different tabletop RPGs to the table, and the options are different every Meetup! Most of them are indie and small publisher games. We've played over 100 different RPGs across more than 40 Meetups and can likely organize a table to run that obscure game you've always wanted to try! If you’re a game designer looking for playtesters, you’ll find a willing table with us. Here are [some of the games](https://airtable.com/appsju3sLuh1jlkwY/shrU8KqBolq6wcw8v/tblD1hw0138xBW7vl) we could potentially run. Please gather at 12PM to check in. Game selection will begin promptly at 12:15pm. If you arrive significantly later than that, we will most likely be able to find a game you can join, but there is a small chance there won’t be any open spaces left.
