Organizer’s description
Join the Esperanto Society of New York for a relaxed Halloween afternoon of conversation, coffee, and Esperanto in the Financial District. Since our regular meetup falls on Halloween this time, feel free to wear a costume, something festive, or just come as you are. Costumes are completely optional. As always, this is an informal social gathering rather than a formal lesson. Some attendees are experienced Esperanto speakers, some are still learning, and some are simply curious about the language. You can: * practice Esperanto at your own level * meet local and visiting Esperanto speakers * ask questions and learn new vocabulary * listen and participate when you feel comfortable * talk about languages, travel, culture, books, Halloween, or whatever else comes up Complete beginners are welcome. You do not need to know Esperanto before attending. Saturday, October 31, 2026 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Le Pain Quotidien 85 Broad Street, New York, NY We will be seated inside the café. Look for a small Esperanto flag and some Esperanto books. If you have trouble finding the group, message the organizer through Meetup. Please purchase a drink or snack to support the café. Come for part of the meetup or stay for the full two hours. Friends and newcomers are always welcome. 🎃 Costumes or Halloween touches are welcome, but absolutely not required.
