Urban Hiking: Redmond in Autumn

Want to see some beautiful fall trees and meet people? Urban Hiking is an opportunity to get outside and chat while hiking easy trails around the metro area. Hikes currently explore downtown Redmond, where there's lots of flat, paved trails. Please let me know if you have other ideas for places we could hike. We start and finish at the park next to 7541 Leary Way NE Parking, behind the Half Price Books. There's a trail on the east side of the parking lot where we meet up. I post a Google Map route each week to comments below. Routes are generally 45 minutes long and span 2 miles, with a nice mix of nature and city environments. The day before the event, I check the weather report and cancel the meetup if rain looks likely. Afterward we hang out at the downtown park and chat. If you haven't had lunch yet, there's many food options around the park. The post-hike hangout is optional, and you can stay as long as you like. Hope to see you there!
