Organizer’s description
Disability Connection & Support A space for adults living with physical disabilities and chronic illness to connect, talk honestly, and share what life is like with bodies, energy, access needs, healthcare, work, relationships, and everything else that comes with it. This is a mutual support gathering, not a class or therapy group. There is no set agenda beyond making room for real conversation, shared experience, curiosity, and whatever feels most relevant to the people who show up. You’re welcome to talk, listen, ask questions, vent, laugh, compare notes, share frustrations, or just spend time around people who may understand some of the same things you do. Facilitators are villagers too. We participate in the conversation, have our own struggles and limitations, and may receive support alongside everyone else. This event is part of Outsiders Village. While this gathering is centered on people living with physical disabilities and chronic illness, the larger Village is for anyone who feels outside the usual boxes and is looking for connection, affinity, mutual support, shared interests, and people to do life with. Show up however you are that day—talkative or quiet, energized or exhausted, certain or unsure. You do not need to perform wellness, productivity, or positivity in order to belong here.
