And... We're Back! Our signature event that lasted for over a decade in person has returned. While we are still doing this every Saturday on Zoom (7PM), Thursday is the new night to come and have some deep conversation on current events, important issues, make friends, have your voice heard, laugh, and have a great time. Each session will last about two hours, our illustrious host will introduce a series of carefully curated topics that are likely to provoke the most conversation, and we will argue, learn, and build better community in the process. We are also back at our favorite Hillcrest spot. Like Bamboo Lounge, we have evolved: Now in the back lounge or sofa area of 1475 University Ave. AWOL is the bar in the front now. The bar is open, the drinks are strong, and the kitchen now features $20 per person Mexican Tapas with original selections through five incredible plates. (Parking is usually available north of University on Normal by Lincoln)
