Organizer’s description

This is a low stress class to give adults a chance to enjoy drawing at any skill level. I will provide pencils, pens, paper and drawing reference. Class Itinerary - Introduction: basic drawing tools - Introduction: practicing drawing effectively - Introduction: drawing from reference - Workshop: Selects from provided tools and reference material [people\, places\, objects\, animals] and work on drawing from reference\. - Critique: Share our drawings and provide each other positive feedback Summary Learning to draw can be intimidating for adults. It's common to feel like we can't try something if we're not already good at it. This is a structured class for adults looking to begin art for any reason. We will introduce you to various drawing tools, and give you instruction on how to practice effectively and draw from reference. We will provide pencils, pens and paper, and you're welcome to bring tools you're already comfortable with, including tablets! Class will conclude with a community critique, which is designed to build artist confidence. The goal of the class is to help adults enjoy practicing art, focusing less on a drawing "being good" and more on enjoying drawing itself, so we're free to practice and improve at our own pace. About The Instructor Jer is a multimedia artist who creates comic books, video games and illustrations.
