Organizer’s description
Rising Tide: Women Making Waves in the Startup World brings together a room of 200 students from across campus and 100 professional women leaders. It's one of the best (and definitely the biggest!) rooms WE Lead puts together all year, and it is a great opportunity to make connections and build your network. For many, this style of event can also be intimidating! If you could use some help knowing where to start when walking into a room like this, join us for a session with Rising Tide regular and WE Lead Advisory Board member Sarah Studer! She'll share tips on how to walk in ready, make the most of who's there, and build skills you'll use at every large event from here on out. What to expect: How to introduce yourself to a room full of strangers (and make it feel natural, not scripted) Practical ways to break into conversations already in progress, with professional women or fellow students What separates a real connection from just adding someone on LinkedIn - and how to follow up Skills that carry beyond Rising Tide, to career fairs, conferences, and any room you walk into solo
