**Forest of Dean Sculpture trail, Gloucestershire** **Saturday, 17th October** The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is a collection of artworks that have been inspired by the unique heritage of the forest. This is a beautiful woodland walk through the forest of dean combining peaceful forest scenery with an every changing collection of contemporary structures. The trail winds through the trees and open clearings with artworks thoughtfully placed within the natural landscape. A lovely opportunity to enjoy art nature and fresh air together. There are 18 sculptures (some more interesting than others!) and the highlight is number 16 the stained glass window. Given the length of the walk we will not stop for lunch. Cafe or options to eat own lunch at the end. **Additional Notes**: The terrain is good and there are two short cuts. Short cut A makes the total walk 2 miles and shortcut B makes the total walk 3.1 miles. The shortcuts will not be guided but are signposted and available if needed. There is also a lovely cafe. Car parking for the day is around £9 so try and car share if possible. Plenty of toilets at start and end point. There is scope to do other walks by your self if desired. **Circular Walk** **Start time 10:30am** **Estimated finish time 1:15pm** **Start place**: Beechenhurst car park (main car park for sculpture trail)with cafe and toilets). Meet by cafe. There is no accurate post code for sat nav but GL16 7EL takes you to the nearby Speech House Hotel.
