AI summary · From the event listing

Let’s start with some beautiful classical music at St James’s Piccadilly where we will see a short four hand piano recital with works by Dvorak, Mozart and Bizet presented by Lucas Saraiva Cunha (piano) & Alique Khambatta (piano). Both of these musicians have won numerous awards and performed widely across the UK and internationally, appearing at contemporary music festivals, in broadcast performances, and in concerts. The concerts last from 50 minutes to one hour. Please note, that whilst the concert is free, donations can be made in cash in the basket on your way out, or by tap donation. It is hoped that you will support the event by giving a donation of some amount. Following the concert, we will take a short walking tour of a couple of the best of the small commercial galleries in the area. We will first visit the Charles Burnand Gallery to see an unusual exhibition entitled Under Wraps. It is unusual in that the exhibition transforms the act of unveiling into part of the exhibition itself, with significant new works revealed through a sequence of automated unveilings. In this way, rather than presenting works as finished objects awaiting admiration, Under Wraps turns the moment of revelation into an act in its own right. Selected pieces remain veiled beneath semi-translucent architectural sheeting, their forms only partially discernible, before being revealed through a carefully choreographed sequence of automated unveilings.
