Please RSVP to help us predict audience size. About the Book Women, Walking: Notes on Lives In Motion explores a spectrum of women’s experiences and perspectives on walking, from everyday strolls to epic treks that test courage and resolve. Co-edited by ambling aficionados Zahra Ebrahim and Jane Farrow, this anthology features over thirty vignettes, essays, graphic art, poems, and interviews, with contributors discussing self-care, identity, social connection, grief, and cultural consciousness. For many, it's about revelling in the wonder of the wander, for others it's a political act. About the Editors Jane Farrow is a writer, broadcaster and dynamic interviewer and facilitator who has immersed herself in community and urban affairs. Her ten years at CBC radio included producing and hosting for current affairs programs such as This Morning, And Sometimes Y, and Workology. Jane was the founding executive director of Jane's Walk, a global initiative involving free, locally led walking tours inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs' ideas about connected, livable neighbourhoods Zahra Ebrahim is an urbanist, educator, and strategist. Her award-winning work focuses on building bridges between institutions and their public, working with communities to co-design towards better social outcomes.
