Organizer’s description

Ambient Guitar: Meditations of the Threshold An invitation to forget yesterday, and tomorrow, and embrace the uncomfortable imperfect impermanent nature of the now. Through layered, improvisational guitar soundscapes, Blood Estate will incite the audience to become participants in ritual, and enter the permeable space that is the threshold. In this empty space, we shall surrender, and look within, without judgement or fear - merely observing and allowing the uncomfortable to pass through the minds stream from subconscious to conscious. Together we will slow down from the high octane pace of NYC, and see what artifacts of noise & static, are clouding our judgements, and blocking the natural source signal emanating from each and every one of us. This practice will include ritualized stages of breathwork, to clear and conjure + release energetic blockage. Come open,self-forgiving, and most importantly - as you are. Artist: Blood Estate Blood Estate is the audiovisual project of Brooklyn native Julius Doogan, emphasizing improvisational expression as a vehicle of truth, at the intersection of ambient, shoegaze, and slowcore, striving to build a more authentic, connected, world through ritualized song. Julius Doogan first found depth through movement, as a parkour practitioner, traveling around the five boroughs, and hosting community based events at the age of thirteen, and creating a series of short films documenting movement in the changing city.
