[AI Week] AI Frontier Day: What's Happening at the Frontier of AI

What's actually happening at the frontier of AI right now? A founder building AI for satellites and the Head of AI at a robotics company sit down with investors and defense insiders. They'll go deep on what's being built and the challenges they face that other founders don't even think of! Featuring Vikash Kodati, Founder & CEO, Godel Space Vikash is the founder and CEO of Godel Space, a Sammamish, Washington startup building Edge AI that runs onboard satellites, so they send down verified findings instead of raw imagery. Before Godel Space, he spent 24 years across Capital One, T-Mobile, and Thomson Reuters. Jonathan Huang, Head of AI, General Robotics Jonathan Huang is the Head of AI at General Robotics, where he leads the effort to build foundation models for robot intelligence. He was previously a research scientist at Google Research and Google DeepMind, where he worked on a number of high-impact computer vision projects. He led a team to win the COCO 2016 object detection challenge, developed the TensorFlow Object Detection API, and won the ICML 2024 best paper award for VideoPoet. He received a PhD in Robotics from CMU in 2011, where he was advised by Carlos Guestrin, and was an NSF Computing Innovation (CI) postdoctoral fellow in the Geometric Computing group at Stanford with Leo Guibas.
