Organizer’s description

Invite Only The AI Collaborative: Wildfires is convening for a day of connection, collaboration, and forward-looking conversations ahead of Red Sky. Together, we’ll prepare to showcase our work and identify the opportunities, gaps, and shared priorities that will guide the Collaborative into 2027. The AI Collaborative: Wildfires (AIC:W) is a global, cross-sector program catalyzed by Google.org that brings together leading nonprofits, academic institutions, government agencies, and technology organizations to harness AI to transform how the world prepares for, detects, and manages wildfires. Its four interconnected workstreams focus on improving spatial and temporal data, building more accurate fire models, strengthening decision support systems, and developing sustainable funding strategies for the wildfire ecosystem. By coordinating funding and connecting cutting-edge science and emerging technology with on-the-ground applications, the AIC:W aims to equip collaborators to create more fire resilient landscapes, identify and track fires in near real time, quantify risk, expand beneficial fire use, and reduce the impacts of catastrophic wildfires worldwide. By registering for this event, you agree to share your registration information with the organizers of Resilience Week.
